Irina coached us through 3-4 different painting exercises, allowing us to focus on a feeling and paint what we felt. The whole experience was engaging and fun. A dream client called from Laguna Niguel in CA last Fall and asked to create one-of-a-kind designs for their master bedroom-bathroom-retreat suite in a new (on-going construction in Fall 2015) 70,000 sq. ft mansion overlooking Pacific Ocean. Our phone discussions were always fun and in-sync. Based on clients' favorite painting, a collection of new pattern designs created and produced on the silks of their choice.

Feeling honored upon BDC invitation to showcase original healing oils and derivative designs on artistic wallpapers and corresponding fabrics plus fashionable art pieces. It was a two-day celebration of the best in residential and commercial furnishings.

Q: What made you venture into fashion?
A: My friends and clients would repeatedly approach me with requests to create a dress, a blouse, a skirt or a shawl using fabric prints derived from my paintings. And so my wearable art collection was conceived. I have created volumes of patterns form my original artworks and have expressed them on a variety of fabrics, including silk, cotton, linen and sports lycra.
